The National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the acclaimed new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, directed by Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott, officially opened on Broadway on October 5 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME stars Juilliard graduate Alex Sharp in his Broadway debut as Christopher, Ian Barford (August: Osage County) as Ed, Helen Carey (London Assurance, Tony nomination and Theatre World Award) as Mrs. Alexander, Francesca Faridany (The 39 Steps) as Siobhan and Enid Graham (The Constant Wife) as Judy. The ensemble includes Jocelyn Bioh (An Octoroonat Soho Rep), Mercedes Herrero (The Laramie Project and its sequel), Richard Hollis (Hit-Lit at Queens Theatre), Ben Horner (War Horse) and David Manis (War Horse). Taylor Trensch (Matilda the Musical) plays Christopher at certain performances. The company also includes Keren Dukes, Stephanie Roth Haberle, Tom Patrick Stephens and Tim Wright.
The production is designed by three-time Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie, with lighting by Tony Award-winner Paule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, choreography by Scott Graham and Olivier Award-winner Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph and hair and wig design by David Brian Brown. Casting is by Daniel Swee and Cindy Tolan.
Fifteen-year old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever.
ALEXANDER SHARP (Christopher)
Alexander Sharp was born in London but grew up traveling constantly. He closed out his time at Juilliard (from which he graduates end of May) playing Hally in Athol Fugard's Master Harold...and the Boys, while simultaneously directing a production of A Clockwork Orangethe play, which he also adapted. Alex is excited to be making his Broadway debut.
TAYLOR TRENSCH (Christopher)

ENID GRAHAM (Judy)
Enid Graham's past Broadway credits include: The Constant Wife (Roundabout Theatre),Fortune's Fool (Music Box), Dinner at Eight (Lincoln Center Theatre), and Honour (Belasco) for which she received a Tony nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as a Theatre World award. She has appeared Off-Broadway in If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet (Roundabout Theatre), King Lear (Public Theatre), Some Americans Abroad (Second Stage),The Long Christmas Ride Home (Vineyard), Psych (Playwrights Horizons) among others. She has enjoyed working in many theatres around the United States, including The Guthrie, The Shakespeare Theatre, Yale Rep, Hartford Stage, The Alley Theatre and Seattle Rep. Her film credits include: Margo at the Wedding, Margaret, Silver Tongues, The Interpreter, and the upcoming feature film The Song. On television she has appeared in "Law and Order," "Law and Order SVU," "Private Practice," "Grey's Anatomy," "Law and Order: CI," "Blue Bloods," and as Rose Van Alden in the first two seasons of "Boardwalk Empire". She is a graduate of The Juilliard School.

MERCEDES HERRERO (Ensemble)
Mercedes Herrero is best known for being an original cast member of the multi-award winning The Laramie Project and its sequel The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later. She recently reprised her role in the critically acclaimed revival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Ms Herrero has been a part of 15 world premieres including works by Lynn Nottage, Nilo Cruz, Lynn Redgrave, A.R. Gurney, Alan Ayckbourn, Craig Wright and Ariel Dorfman. She played Queen Elizabeth opposite Peter Dinklage in Richard III at the Public Theater and Mistress Quickly in the NYSF production of Henry V starring Liev Shreiber. Off?Broadway credits include: Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, Classic Stage Company, Union Square Theater, Intar, The Flea, The Cherry Lane, and La MaMa. Regionally she has performed at the Yale Rep, Arena Stage, Center Stage, La Jolla Playhouse, Berkeley Rep, A.R.T., Syracuse Stage, Two River, The Wilma and Asolo Rep among many others. Film and T.V. credits include: all four "Law & Orders," Deception, Arranged, King of the Corner, and The Tao of Steve.
