Sold Out NEO2 Performances Held at the York, 6/12

Tonight at York Theatre Company, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty will host two sold-out performances of "NEO2" at 6:00pm and 9:00pm at Saint Peter's Theatre in the Citigroup Center (54th Street just east of Lexington Avenue); the evening will feature some of Broadway's brightest stars.

The concert follows the first "NEO," which took place three years ago. The benefit will feature performances by Stephanie J. Block (The Boy From Oz), Kathy Brier (Hairspray), Jedidiah Cohen (Is There Life After High School?), Christopher Fitzgerald (Wicked), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q), Jonathan Hadley (A Class Act), Leah Hocking (Hairspray), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Spelling Bee), Janine LaManna (Sweet Charity), Ryan Link (Rent), Megan McGinnis (Little Women), Sally Murphy (The Wild Party), Christiane Noll (Jekyll & Hyde), Phylicia Rashad (Bernarda Alba), Barbara Rosenblat (The Secret Garden), Steve Routman (Victor/Victoria), Michael Rupert (Falsettos), Jim Stanek (Lestat), Cheryl Stern (The Women), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), Tracie Thoms (Rent) and more. York Theatre is producing the evening in conjunction with event producer Margot Astrachan and creative producer Scott Alan.

Among the emerging composers/lyricists featured will be Jill Abramovitz and Joy Son, Scott Alan, Barbara Anselmi and Will Randall, David Austin, Neil Bartram, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Eli Bolin, Sam Davis and Georgia Stitt, Andrew Gerle, Jeff Hochhauser and Robert Johnston, Joe Iconis, Jihwan Kim and Sean Hartley, David Kirshenbaum and Adam Overett.

The York Theatre Company just received a special Drama Desk Award for its "vital contributions to theatre by developing and producing new musicals."
