One of the most unusual and anticipated events of the theatre season Off-Broadway will take place in December when Soho Rep presents the New York debut of No Dice, the newest work by Nature Theater of Oklahoma -- one of the companies breaking whole new ground and generating much excitement in downtown theatre -- previewing December 6 prior to its official press opening December 8 at 66 White Street (between Broadway and Church Streets) in Manhattan - just around the corner from Soho Rep.

Commissioned by Soho Rep in 2006, and being given its first fully-staged production now by the company, No Dice was the talk of the Under-the-Radar Festival in New York in January '07.   Prior to its engagement in New York, No Dice played this year's Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, in Portland, Oregon, as well as at leading European venues and festivals in Holland, Austria, Germany, and Belgium.

Billed as a four hour version of the eleven hour epic, No Dice is culled from over 100 hours of taped telephone conversations with actors, friends and family about their jobs, personal problems, aspirations and dreams, No Dice is described by Nature Theater of Oklahoma as, "An epic of the everyday blown to transcendental proportions. The company filters the material of their own lives though the conventions of amateur dinner theater to arrive at a uniquely mind-altering experience."

No Dice is conceived and directed by Nature Theater of Oklahoma founder Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper.  The play is performed by Anne Gridley, Thomas Hummel, Robert M. Johanson, Zachary Oberzan and Kristin Worrall.  Music is by Lumberob and Kristin Worrall; production design is by Peter Nigrini.

No Dice will perform Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (with no performance on Friday, December 14; and added performances on Thursdays, December 6, and Monday December 31), with sandwiches and soda served from 6:30PM, followed by the performance at 7PM at 66 White Street (between Broadway and Church Streets).  The play is performed with an intermission.

Tickets are $25, except on Sundays when all seats are 99-cents.  For reservations call SmartTix at 212-868-4444 or log on to www.smarttix.com. For additional information visit www.sohorep.org or www.oktheater.org.
