Smoke in Queen's Theatre Causes LES MISERABLES Evacuation in West End

During the first act of the Saturday matinee performance of Les Miserables, the Queen's Theatre was evacuated due to a fire concern.

Firemen say the concern was aroused due to a "smoking electrical room" inside the theatre, and audience members posted to Twitter saying that the theatre blacked out part way through the show.

Cast members posted light-hearted pictures of each other (such as the one above) waiting outside the theatre still in costume as the firemen cleared up the theatre.

After the fact, the official LES MISERABLES Twitter posted some pictures saying, "A few pics of today! Keeping each other warm, thanks @MissSaigonUK for the hospitality"

Les Miserables is currently playing at London's Queen's Theatre, 51 Shaftesbury Avenue. The production stars Peter Lockyer as Jean Valjean, David Thaxton as Javert and Celinde Schoenmaker as Fantine.
