Musical Mondays Theatre Lab will present a double bill of two new short musicals created in the 2006 Tony Award winning BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. The evening will be presented Monday, October 30th at 6:15 PM at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre.

The first musical is Easy City, with book and lyrics by Craig Fols and music by Fred Thaler. The show is based on Hurricane Katrina survivor interviews.

Craig Fols originated the role of The Leading Man in the Off-Broadway hit Musical of Musicals, The Musical.  Veteran composer Fred Thaler returns to his Broadway roots after a successful sojourn in Los Angeles.

The cast includes Antonique Smith and Mark Ford (both of Rent), Tommar Wilson (Hairspray), Andi Whaley (workshop of The 60's Project), and Andy Karl (Altar Boyz and the upcoming Legally Blonde).

The second show is Top of the World, with book and music by Aron Accurso and lyrics and book by Steve Routman.

Aron Accurso was behind last season's Dogs of Pripyat, and Steve Routman was behind last season's Fisher King. Accurso's Strega Nona is completing a run at the Atlantic Theatre.

The cast includes Don Mayo (Man of La Mancha, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Adam Heller (Caroline, or Change, A Class Act), Theresa Finamore, creator of Off-Broadway's How to Go Out on a Date in Queens, and Ryan Binder from the national tour of Mamma Mia.

Tickets are $10.  The McGinn/Cazale Theatre is above the Promenade at Broadway and 76th Street in New York. Reservations for the October 30th 6:15 PM evening can be made a (212) 989-6706 or by e-mailing MusicalMondays@aol.com.
