Seth Rudetsky will be joined by
Emily Skinner and more at Ars Nova (511 W. 54th St.) for a September 10th evening celebrating the release of "The Q Guide to Broadway." The event will take place at 7 PM.
The new book was penned by Rudetsky, who is known for his work as a musical director and conductor, performer, "Chatterbox" host, and artistic producer of the Actors' Fund concerts. "The Great White Way has paved the way for some of the most legendary
performers in history. But Broadway is more than a street, it's a
community. In this
Q Guide, a true Broadway expert takes theater fans on the ultimate insider's tour," state notes on the tome.
The evening will feature Skinner (
Side Show, The Full Monty), as well as
Norm Lewis (upcoming
Les Miserables, Side Show) and
Anika Larsen (
All Shook Up). The show--which will benefit the Actors' Fund of America--will feature "Broadway belting, 'Q Guide' highlights, and Rudetsky-style stories," according to press notes. Rudetsky will also deconstruct his extensive video collection.
"The Q Guide to Broadway" is currently available for pre-order on
Amazon.com. It will be released by Alyson Books on Sept. 1.
