SiriusXM Radio has announced that the creators of "South Park," Matt Stone and Trey Parker and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, will be featured in "The Book of Mormon Radio," an exclusive special celebrating their new musical, The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon opened on Broadway last week, receiving rave reviews and quickly becoming a sold out box office smash.

"The Book of Mormon Radio" special will premiere on Saturday, April 2, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sirius Stars Too, Sirius channel 108 and XM channel 139. The special will be rebroadcast on Sunday, April 3 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The production is choreographed by three-time Tony Award-nominee Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python's Spamalot,The Drowsy Chaperone) and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

"The Book of Mormon Radio" features Parker, Lopez and Stone discussing their meeting at a performance of Avenue Q, the Tony-winning Broadway musical co-authored by Lopez. The three writers discovered they shared a mutual fascination for Mormons, and a completely original new musical was born.

The special also includes interview with three-time Tony Award-nominated choreographer and co-director Casey Nicholaw and producer Anne Garefino, who also serves as executive producer for "South Park".

SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky also sits down with the critically acclaimed cast of The Book of Mormon: Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Nikki M. James, Rory O'Malley and Michael Potts.

The Book of Mormon opened on Broadway on March 24, 2011 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre to ecstatic reviews. Ben Brantley, The New York Times, called The Book of Mormon "Heaven on Broadway. The Book of Mormon achieves something like a miracle. The kind of newborn, old-fashioned, pleasure-giving musical that our grandparents told us left them walking on air, if not on water." Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News, cheered, "Oh, boy, it's a real winner. You catch yourself laughing one minute, mouth agape the next, eventually wiping away tears, and finally, cheering!" Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, says "The Book of Mormon is on its march into legend. History is made." Jon Stewart, The Daily Show, hailed The Book of Mormon as "A crowning achievement; so good, it makes me angry."

Stone and Parker have earned four Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award for South Park, which is now in its 15th season. Their films include South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut (Academy Award nomination for Best Song) and Team America: World Police.

Lopez co-created Avenue Q, earning 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score and a Grammy Award® nomination for Best Cast Album. He has also penned Finding Nemo: The Musical with Kristen Anderson-Lopez, as well as the original musical Up Here.
