Nancy Anderson,
Jill Paice and
Douglas Sills--times eight--will headline the Huntington Theatre's staged reading of Steven Lutvak and Robert Freedman's new musical
Kind Hearts and Coronets, which will be presented at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion in Boston on April 6th.
The reading will be performed as part of the theatre group's third annual
Breaking Ground Festival of New Readings, presented from April 6th through 9th. As Alec Guinness did in the classic 1949 film, Sills (
The Scarlet Pimpernel, Little Shop of Horrors) will play all eight D'Ascoyne relatives who block disinherited aristocrat Louis Mazzini from becoming the Duke of Chalfont. He will be joined by Anderson (
Wonderful Town, Kiss Me, Kate) and Paice (
The Woman in White).
The reading of the musical, which features book by Freedman, music by Lutvak and lyrics by both, will also include
Marilyn Caskey, Kate Delima, Kent French, Bill Gross,
Jonathan Hadley, Tregoney Shepherd, and Price Waldman in the cast.
A $10 donation is suggested for the reading, and reservations are recommended. Call 617-266-0800 or visit
