Sigourney Weaver, Sutton Foster & More Score Critics' Choice TV Awards Nominations

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) today announced nominations for the 3rd annual Critics' Choice Television Awards, which will be held the evening of Monday, June 10, 2013 - and featured in the pack were a slew of Broadway stars.

Those who scored nominations include stage veteran Sutton Foster for ABC Family's BUNHEADS, and current VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE star, Sigourney Weaver, for her role as Secretary of State on USA's POLITICAL ANIMALS.

Patrick Wilson, who recently guest starred on HBO's GIRLS, was nominated for his work, as well as Kevin Spacey for HOUSE OF CARDS, Emilia Clarke for GAME OF THRONES, Zachary Quinto and Lily Rabe for AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM, Jim Parsons for THE BIG BANG THEORY, Al Pacino for HBO's film PHIL SPECTOR, and Sebastian Stan who appeared alongside Weaver in ANIMALS last summer.

HBO leads the networks in nominations with 21, followed closely by FX which collected 19. Topping the list of nominated series are American Horror Story: Asylum (FX) and The Big Bang Theory (CBS) with six nominations each. Other series with multiple nominations include Parks and Recreation (NBC) and Top Of The Lake (Sundance) with five each and The Americans (FX), Breaking Bad (AMC), Game of Thrones (HBO), The Good Wife (CBS), Louie (FX), New Girl (FOX) and Political Animals (USA) with four each.

Fan favorite actress and stand-up comedian Retta, currently starring as Donna Meagle on PARKS AND RECREATION, will host. She has appeared in numerous films and television shows, and has performed on Comedy Central's PREMIUM BLEND.

For the first time the award show will be webcast live on UStream.
