REBECCA The Musical, based on the 1938 novel by Daphne Du Maurier, is said to be headed to the West End in 2011 possibly following FLASHDANCE into the Shaftesbury Theatre reports the UK Daily Mail. In talks to play Mrs. de Winter in the show is current Christine in LOVE NEVER DIES and former star of THE LITTLE MERMAID - Sierra Boggess.

REBECCA premiered in Vienna in 2006. The original score was written by Michael Kunze (lyrics) and Sylvester Levay (music), the authors of Elisabeth, Mozart! and Marie Antoinette. Christopher Hamton has signed on to write the english version of the show.

The music ranges from close choral scoring with a rising rhythm section from the pit to power ballads.

Sayers, Musical Supervisor Seann Alderking, Musical Director Caspar Richter, Production DesignerPeter J. Davison, Costume Designer Birgit Hutter, Lighting Designer Andrew Volle, Projections Designer Sven Ortel and Sound Designer Hendrik Maassen.
