Rhino will release the original off-Broadway cast recording of Shout! The Mod Musical next month.

The album was recorded at Midtown Sound in New York and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.  It will be available at all retail outlets and at www.rhino.com for a suggested retail price of $18.98.

Shout! will also play its 100th performance off-Broadway at the Julia Miles Theatre (424 West 55 Street) on Wednesday, October 4. Previews began Tuesday, July 11 and the show opened on Thursday, July 27.

The cast album features 30 swingin' 60's hits such as 'Downtown," "I Only Want To Be With You," "Wishin' & Hopin'," "To Sir With Love," "Don't Sleep In The Subway," "Son Of A Preacher Man," "Goldfinger," "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me," "Diamonds Are Forever," " Those Were The Days," and the title song. The album is produced by Emanuel "Manny" Kallins of Gotham Music Inc. and Steve Skinner of Steve Skinner Music LLC.

Shout! "flips through the years like a musical magazine, tracking five young women as they come of age during the liberating days of the 1960s that made England  swing.  It is a non-stop journey through the infectious and soulful pop anthems and ballads that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu. Shout! uses letters to an advice columnist, true confessions, quizzes and advertisements as a frame for the hit songs," state production notes.

Each young woman in the cast is identified by the color of her costume, reflecting a composite personality: Marie-France Arcilla (Blue), Erin Crosby (Yellow), Julie Dingman Evans (Orange) Erica Schroeder (Green), and Denise Summerford (Red).

The musical is co-created by Phillip George and David Lowenstein, Lowenstein choreographs and George directs, with additional material by Peter Charles Morris and Phillip George. The first edition of Shout! appeared on stage at the Duplex in New York in 2000 and then transferred to London's Jermyn Street Theatre where it was nominated as Best Musical by WhatsOnStage.

The design team is David Gallo (scenic design), Philip Heckman (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design) and Tony Meola (sound design). Musical arrangements, orchestrations and direction are by Bradley Vieth.  The show is produced by PLUS Entertainment's Victoria Lang & Pier Paolo Piccoli, Brent Peek and Mark Schwartz.

Shout! plays the following schedule: Tuesdays at 7pm; Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm; Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.  Tickets to Shout! The Mod Musical are available by calling Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200, (800) 432-7250 outside the NY metro area, online at Telecharge.com, and at the Julia Miles Theatre box office (424 West 55 Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue).
