"Shoshana Bush and Friends - Live at Catalina Jazz Club" has been released on the singer's own label. Shoshana recorded the album of (mainly) Great American Songbook tunes at L.A.'s most popular jazz venue on January 3rd, 2013. The album is available now, digitally and traditionally through http://shoshanabushmusic.com as well as digitally and traditionally through CD Baby, Amazon and iTunes. Shoshana, who is an L.A. native with a degree in Jazz Studies from Columbia University, has been performing to standing room only crowds at Catalina Jazz Club since 2011. She funded the recording project through a successful Kickstarter campaign mounted in Fall 2012.

"Shoshana Bush and Friends - Live at Catalina Jazz Club" includes Vocals by Shoshana Bush, with Isamu McGregor on Piano, Larry Koonse on Guitar, George Young on Alto Saxophone and Flute, David Robaire on Bass and Gene Coye on Drums. It was recorded live by Alex Chaloff and mastered by Paul Tavenner.

Influenced by Nina Simone, Blossom Dearie, and Ahmad Jamal, Shoshana chooses songs and creates her arrangements based upon her own narrative instincts and her multi-genre love of music. Her repertoire on "Shoshana Bush and Friends - Live at Catalina Jazz Club" consists of ten tunes: The Man I Love, Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, Lush Life, Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man, Blues for Mama, Old Devil Moon, Trouble In Mind, Just One of Those Things, How Insensitive, and Since I Fell For You.

A versatile musician, Shoshana's eclectic musical interests include not only jazz and an unabashed commitment to classic American Songbook, but musical projects much further afield, including writing and recording projects with L.A. based Hip Hop ensemble, Welcome to the Ice Age, as well as electronic duo Blue Green Grey. Welcome to the Ice Age released a digital single in January 2013 (Mansionz).

This fall Shoshana Bush will appear in her East Coast album release show for "Shoshana Bush and Friends - Live at Catalina Jazz Club" at a venue TBD. In the meantime, she will host Birdland's Jazz Party tonight, June 2nd from 6-7:15pm (doors5:00pm). Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street, NYC between 8th and 9th Avenues.
