Sheri Sanders, the mastermind behind the revolutionary rock musical theatre audition technique, Rock The Audition, will head back to school this fall- presenting a not-to-be-missed concert experience at the American Theatre of Actors.

Producers Kenny Metzger and Kristin Morris have partnered with Sanders to bring this brand new concert to life September 25th through October 2nd in New York at the American Theatre of Actors at 314 W. 54th St. Tickets are available online at www.sherisandersinconcert.eventbrite.com

Sheri Sanders wrote the book on how to interpret pop/rock songs when auditioning for musical theatre productions. No, really, she wrote the book-with Hal Leonard as her publisher.

Now, Sheri is throwing open the doors to her classroom and inviting the masses to take part in a show that's equal parts pop music history lesson, powerhouse concert, and sneak peek at Broadway's best-kept audition secret: her rock class-Sheri Sanders: In Concert will reflect her journey of self-discovery through popular music.

Helmed by Innovative Theatre Award nominee and New York Theatre Barn Artistic Director Joe Barros who says the concert will celebrate Sheri's pioneering spirit as well as help others find their inner rock star.

Sheri has also invited emerging contemporary pop/rock musical theatre artists and songwriting teams to present selections of their work as the "opening act" for the concert. Each night will feature a different composing team and some of their favorite singers.

Producers Kenny Metzger and Kristin Morris are recipients of an Araca Project Producing Grant, the program is designed to help emerging theatre professionals mount fully realized productions of premiere theatre works in New York.

Consequently, young producers quickly discover the realities of theatrical producing in the modern age. In order to allow other young professionals the opportunity to lead design, marketing, publicity, and financial divisions of the production, Metzger and Morris have stacked the production team full of energetic, tech-savvy, and innovative professionals, all of whom are under 25.
