Sheri Sanders, Chris Weaver & Brad Simmons to Judge RISING STAR 4 Tonight at Rise Bar

The fourth season of the RISING STAR competition continues tonight, November 14th. This week, contestants sing songs from the year they were born.

Showtime 10:30pm. No cover, no minimum. 21 and over. Rise Bar is at 859 Ninth Ave, New York, New York 10019.

Singers compete in an 10-week elimination style contest for a $1,000 cash prize and a fully produced, paid solo show at Rise.

In addition to the cash and prize package, RISING STAR offers networking opportunities with celebrity judges, fantastic exposure, and valuable live stage experience.

Hosted by actress and comic Emily McNamara (NEWSICAL The Musical, Billy On The Street, HBO's Vinyl). Sound by DJTK. Special guest host and mentor Marty Thomas (WICKED, XANADU, Grace and Frankie).

Sheri Sanders
Sheri is an actress, writer, and teacher. She created her master class, Rock the Audition, in 2004, and since then has become a premiere rock-audition and rock-music repertoire coach. She travels extensively, teaching students and their instructors the art of holistically capturing the essence of the rock musicals prior to auditions. She founded Rock the Audition and Rock The Audition Online. Her book is available through Hal Leonard.

Brad Simmons
Brad Simmons is a concert artist, music director, composer and teache. He has performed alongside Tonya Pinkins, Alice Ripley, Carolee Carmello, Rebecca Luker, Donna McKechnie, Leslie Uggams, Sandi Patty and The B-52's Kate Pierson. Brad has music directed Lysistrata Jones, Mr & Mrs Fitch with John Lithgow, Me and the Girls with Alan Cumming and the musical film Hello Again with Audra McDonald, Martha Plimpton, Cheyenne Jackson and Rumer Willis. Other career highlights include Camp with Anna Kendrick and Stephen Sondheim; The Meredith Vieira Show with Christina Bianco; The Hippodrome with Erich Bergen; Backstage at 54 Below with Susie Mosher; and leading the Junior Fellows at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

Chris Weaver
Chris is currently on Season 13 of The Voice on NBC. Chris is a worship leader by day and a drag queen by night. His drag persona is a gorgeous sassy woman named Nedra Belle. He performs weekly at the West End Lounge, hosting and singing live.
