Celebrating its third year in NYC and its inaugural year in L.A., the two festivals will present 13 new full-length shows by women writers.
She NYC Arts is proud to introduce the 13 new full-length shows that will participate in their two 2018 Summer Theater Festivals.
Now in its third year, the 2018 She NYC Summer Theater Festival will run from July 5-15th at The Connelly Theatre. In addition, 2018 will be the inaugural year of She NYC's newly-launched Los Angeles branch. The She L.A. Summer Theater Festival will run from July 23-29th at the Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood.
The She NYC Summer Theater Festival will present six new plays and two new musicals, including Valer by Mandy Murphy, Love the Struggle by Stacy Kray and Yair Evnine, The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends by Annie Pulsipher and Alex Petti, Dumpster Fire by Emily Comisar, Brooklyn No-Names by Marisa Jones and Melanie Notinger, The Wife of Usher's Well by Sophie Netanel, Between the Colored Lines and Other Black Girl Tales by Tiffani Dean, and I'm Afraid of Death but Not of Dying by Liza Summers.
The She L.A. Summer Theater Festival will present three new plays and two new musicals, including The Legend of Bonny Anne by Chandler Patton, Click by Kathleen Coombs, Arabesque No. 1 by Cambria Denim, Ferguson the Tailor by Carol Weiss, and Starry by Kelly D'Angelo and Matt Dahan.

The She NYC Summer Theater Festival is New York City's only festival devoted to producing full-length plays, musicals, and adaptations by women writers annually, and in 2018 will be joined by the inaugural year of the She L.A. Summer Theater Festival. She NYC's commitment to an open submissions process allows it to discover and cultivate the best up-and-coming talent in the industry.
