The Shapiro Sisters release their debut album Live Out Loud: Live at 54 BELOW today, September 9th, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June.

The title song "Live Out Loud", from Andrew Lippa's A Little Princess, embodies the sisters' philosophy of living life out loud and reaching for their dreams. The concerts and upcoming album feature songs from many of the Shapiro Sisters' favorite musicals and films including Wicked, Anastasia, Frozen, Thoroughly Modern Millie, A Little Princess, The Secret Garden and more.

"It was very fun having a cabaret show with my sister, because, after having played Matilda, I was used to performing songs all from one role in one show. This cabaret gave me the chance to sing some of my own favorite songs from some of my favorite shows. Abby and I have always wanted to have our own show together - since we were little," said Milly.

Abigail adds, "Being able to create our own cabaret show and release a live CD is a dream come true. Having the opportunity to write the script and participate in the creative process was life changing-it is an experience I will never forget."

The Shapiro Sisters will be returning to 54 BELOW on August 28th at 7:00 PM for an encore performance to celebrate the launch of their new CD. Copies of the album will be available exclusively at 54 BELOW only during the concert, nearly two weeks ahead of the general public release date. Special guests Laura Osnes and Ben Thompson will be performing as well.

"I first met Milly while producing the Matilda album and was instantly impressed by her and her incredible musical gift. I came to know Abigail during the Matilda trip to the Grammys and quickly discovered her astonishing talent, as well. The concept for creating their own concert quickly came to fruition and seemed a natural next step," Broadway Records co-founder Van Dean stated. "We feel very fortunate to be collaborating with the girls so early in their career and we can't wait to see what they do next."

Their album is now available for order at http://amzn.com/B00JWXDCHY.

"Live Out Loud" is the latest in the "Live at 54 BELOW" series that started earlier last year with albums by Patti LuPone, Norbert Leo Butz, Christiane Noll, Andrea McArdle, Aaron Tveit, Laura Benanti and the most recently released Ahrens and Flaherty, Jarrod Spector, Sierra Boggess, Michael Cerveris & Loose Cattle and Bebe Neuwirth. More albums in the series will be announced shortly.
