Shakespeare's Sister Company launches their 2012 season with a benefit DIONYSIAN SCAVENGER HUNT, with proceeds to support their upcoming fall production of Romeo & Juliet.

The DIONYSIAN SCAVENGER HUNT takes place today, April 28, kicking off at 1:00 PM. Participants meet at the Arch at Washington Square Park (located at the foot of Fifth Avenue, one block south of Eighth Street; Subways: A, B, C, D, E, F, M to West 4th or N/R to 8th Street). The ticket price is $10 in advance; $15 at the event. For tickets, visit www.shakespearessister.org.

Calling all Gods and Goddesses to Washington Square Park for the Shakespeare's Sister Company's signature DIONYSIAN SCAVENGER HUNT! A giant New York bar crawl, arrive decked out as your favorite God or Goddess (those that do receive a free raffle ticket) at the Arch at Washington Square Park where teams will assemble (you can come with a team, or be grouped into a team upon arrival). Teams will then receive a disclosed mission and the secret after-party location. Once the hunt begins (approximately 3 hours), revelers are unleashed into the East Village and surrounding areas, answering riddles and finding hidden gems. Afterwards, hunters join the after-party for themed games, raffles, prizes (including the Greek God Grand Prize), a silent auction, food and merriment! Everyone's favorite childhood game becomes the ultimate downtown party!
