VITAL THEATRE COMPANY and SH-K-BOOM/Ghostlight Records proudly announce the release of the official cast recording of PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL on Sh-K-Boom's new imprint, BROADWAY BABY RECORDS. The long-running hit production produced by Vital Theatre Company is based on the popular children's book Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann. The book was adapted for the stage by the Kanns (book and lyrics) and John Gregor (music and lyrics). The album is currently available in stores and online at www.sh-k-boom.com.

Featured on the cast album are MICHELLE CZEPHYA, Molly Gilman, Alan Houser, SARA PEAK and DANNY ROONEY. Tracks on the album include "Pinktastic," "When Dreams Come True," "I Got the Pink Blues," "Buzz Off," "The Power of Antioxidants" and "Green Foods," among others.

PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL, now in its third year, began at Vital Theatre Company's home theater at 76th Street and Broadway. After completing its initial sold-out six-week run, it moved to the SOHO PLAYHOUSE where it enjoyed an extended run through summer of 2007. In January of 2008, the production re-opened at Midtown's NEW WORLD STAGES, where it ran through September of 2008. In November of 2008 the production moved to the Bleecker Street Theater at 45 Bleecker where it has settled into an open-ended run in the 240-seat theater.

In the musical, Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink-loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY'S production of PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL continues its open-ended run Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 pm at the BLEECKER STREET THEATRE at 45 Bleecker Street (North side of Bleecker Street, between Lafayette & Mott Streets). All tickets are $29.50. The show is appropriate for children ages 2 to 10. For tickets and information, please visit www.vitaltheatre.org or call Telecharge at (212) 239-6200.
