Secret Theatre to Present THE ACT ONE: ONE ACT FESTIVAL Next Month

The Secret Theatre has announced THE ACT ONE: ONE ACT FESTIVAL. The Act One: One Act Festival is a competition style one-act play festival held in September at The Secret Theatre. Each week actors, playwrights, and directors band together and compete to win cash prizes in Best Play, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. As the weeks go by, teams advance to the final rounds through audience votes.

THE ACT ONE: ONE ACT FESTIVAL features a total of 24 One Act plays, which will be presented over a series of 3 separate programs.

Program One will include Residue by Stacey Lane, The Reason For Play by Lavinia Roberts, The Policy by A.C. DeLashmutt, I Wrote This At Work by Andrea Macy, Time Between Trains by Samantha Ciavarella, Hurricane William by Randy Cross, The Flames by David A. Miller, andHappy and Gay by Mary Steelsmith.

Performances for Program One are Thursday, September 5th at 8:00, Saturday, September 7th at 8:00, Thursday, September 12th at 8:00, and Saturday, September 14th at 8:00.

Program Two will include The Green Grocer by Joni Ravenna, Life Play by Lisa Huberman, Day At the Office by Paul Trupia, In Search of Reason by Gene Fiskin, Duet by Jacy D'Aiutolo, Learning To Skip by Larry Phillips, Delicate Maneuvers by Edward Versailles, and The 23rdDead Guy Reunion by Randy Gross.

Performances for Program Two are Friday, September 6th at 8:00, Sunday, September 8th at 4:00, Friday, September 13th at 8:00, and Sunday, September 15th at 4:00.

Program Three will include Mountain Air by Tatiana Suarez Pico, Benefit by Richard Ballon, Escape From Garden Grove by Mathilde Dratwa,Scripted by Mark Harvey Levine, Mrs. Jansen Isn't Here Now by Steven Korbar, The Height of Success by Adair Moran, Legacy by Chris Shaw Swanson, and Biting Tongues by Michelle Giusto.

Performances for Program Three are Saturday, September 7th at 4:00, Sunday, September 8th at 8:00, Saturday, September 14th at 4:00, and Sunday, September 15th at 8:00.
