Secret Theatre Musicals has announced a rare revival of Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY. With a book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, John and Jen, The Addam's Family), this exciting production is directed by Taryn Turney and will play a 3-week limited engagement. Performances will begin Thursday, July 12th and continue through Saturday, July 28th at The Secret Theatre. Evening shows Thursday through Saturday are at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm, with a special matinee performance on the 28th at 3pm. For tickets or more information, visit www.secrettheatre.com.
Winner of the 2000 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music (with 12 total nominations including Outstanding New Musical), and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical of the 2000 season, Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY is based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 narrative poem of the same name. THE WILD PARTY tells the story of one wild evening in the Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown. In a relationship marked by vicious behavior and recklessness (mirroring the time in which they live), they decide to throw a party to end all parties.
Secret Theatre Musicals' production of THE WILD PARTY features Broadway's Courtney Glass* (Woman in White) as Queenie and Anthony Hollock* (Hair) as Oscar, alongside Keith Collins* as Burrs, Adam Kemmerer as Black and Missy Dowse* as Kate.
The cast is completed by Lindsay Nass (Madelaine True), Dan Olsen (Eddie), Heather Anderson (Mae), Eugenio Vargas* (Phil), Vincent Rodriguez III* (Jackie), Ashley Nicole Keene, Erica Lindblad, Ryan Cavanaugh, Erin Holmes, Vanessa Altschuler and Derrick J. Parks. Musical direction is by Dror Baitel and choreography by Christopher Noffke.
