Secret Theatre Academy of Dramatic Arts Announces Fall/Winter Classes

As summer draws to a close, The Secret Theatre is looking forward to seeing old and new friends at for our Fall/Winter Semester. The Secret Theatre Academy is growing and evolving. This year Musical Theatre will be added, but Senior or Junior Drama classes will not be replaced.

Acting Classes [for ages 6 -10 and 11+]

Regular students of our Acting program will continue to receive awesome coaching from our regular teaching staff of Jay, Katie, Terry and Nick. They say a fond farewell to Courtnay, who is not going to be teaching this semester due to her professional commitments, but are welcoming Amanda Durst to the faculty. Amanda was one of the regular performers in our successful production of Dotty Dot and was a counselor during this year's LIC Arts Camp, so she is already well known around The Secret.

They accept all eligible students and no auditions are necessary for the regular acting class.

This semester Senior Drama students will work on STEREOTYPES PART II, which is a continuation of the amazing original workshop piece which premiered last semester.

Junior Students will be working on SUPER MUTANT KIDS for our annual winter show.

Following the December show, students will all learn a monologue and work on it through the remaining weeks. Monologues will be performed before a panel of the teachers on the final day of the semester.

Musical Theatre

PLEASE NOTE Musical Theatre is only for students who are 11 or older and is an audition class.

Auditions are on Sept 7th and Sept 14th by appointment.

IF YOU ARE A RETURNING STUDENT PLEASE CONTACT THE SECRET THEATRE RIGHT AWAY TO BOOK YOUR SLOT. PREVIOUS STUDENTS ARE GUARANTEED A SLOT, BUT THE SECRET THEATRE MUST HEAR FROM YOU BY AUGUST 31ST.
