Sebastian Arcelus returns to the role of Bob Gaudio in the Broadway cast of JERSEY BOYS tonight, July 14th, 2009. Arcelus, who was most recently seen in the Lincoln Theater Center production of Happiness, replaces Andrew Rannells, who replaced him in the hit show at the August Wilson Theatre.

Sebastian Arcelus joined the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, the Tony Award winning Best Musical on Thursday, January 10th. Arcelus replaced Daniel Reichard, who originated the role at the La Jolla Playhouse and on Broadway. Reichard played his final performance on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008.

Arcelus' Broadway credits are Wicked (Fiyero), Rent (Roger), and Good Vibrations (Jan). Some other credits include: Wicked (1st National Tour), The Full Monty, Caligula, Hamlet: A Rock Opera, Aida, Floyd Collins, and the world premiere of William Finn's Songs of Innocence and Experience. He was recently featured in Barbara Cook's Carnegie Hall concert and subsequent recording, "No One is Alone." His voice can also be heard on numerous cartoons, most notably as the voice of Papi on Nickelodeon's "Go, Diego, Go!".

The Broadway production of JERSEY BOYS recently celebrated 1,500 performances at the August Wilson Theatre. After running over three years in New York, the show can now be seen in Chicago, Las Vegas, London, Toronto, in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour, and the recently open Melbourne, Australia production.

JERSEY BOYS is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed bySergio Trujillo.

JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie ValliBob Gaudio,Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, about a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.

JERSEY BOYS opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005. The JERSEY BOYS National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006.
