Forward Flux Productions with Parley and Nate Omdal Productions presents "Your [ ____ ] Neighborhood" an exhibition of new works exploring the theme of gentrification and the impact of progress in Seattle. This one-night-only event (Wednesday, May 6th from 7-10pm at Fremont Abbey Arts Center - 4272 Fremont Ave N. Seattle WA 98103) marks the completion of an artists' residency program called collaborate:create, in which 21 artists spend three weeks working together across disciplines to develop new works centered on one socially relevant theme. This diverse group of artists includes six playwrights from Parley playwrights group and three musicians that form the Nate Omdal Trio, as well as an array of independent and innovative local creatives. Works include dance performances, visual art, 10-minute plays, performative and multimedia installations, music, and more all exploring the changing face of Seattle's neighborhoods. In addition to new works, the exhibition highlights the artists' creative processes as a platform to foster the artist-audience relationship.

"Your [ ____ ] Neighborhood" marks the culmination of the fifth cycle of collaborate:create (the first in Seattle), bringing together artists across disciplines to discuss, collaborate, and create unfiltered work in 21 days that investigates one socially relevant theme. The process culminates in a one-night-only public exhibition. The program started in New York in 2013, and continues there now (the 6th cycle is running concurrently and will investigate the same theme; exhibition date: May 17th at the Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn).

The Seattle-based visual artists, playwrights and musicians involved in this cycle of collaborate:create include: Benjamin Benne, Sheri Brown, Grace Carmack, Caitlin Coey, Rachel Delmar, Kyle Doran, Ryan Fields, Amber Hughes, Barry Johnson, Elise Koncsek, Cade MaGee, Sue McNally, Angel O'Leary, Nate Omdal, Sydney M Pertl, Anthony Phillips, James Price, Ashley Rang, Brian Reindel, Cara Romanik, and Emma Watt.

Tickets for "Your [ ____ ] Neighborhood" are on sale now, and range from $12-$35. Visit www.ForwardFlux.com for more information or to purchase.
