Former SMASH and SEAN SAVES THE WORLD co-stars Sean Hayes and Megan Hilty reunited during a recent performance of Broadway's hit comedy, AN ACT OF GOD.
"A cellphone went off during the show," an audience member tells The New York Post. "Megan Hilty was sitting right by the ringing and [Sean] stopped the show to jokingly compliment her on having the latest iPhone. The cellphone wasn't Megan's, of course," but Hayes went on to give the actress, (recently nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in NOISES OFF), a hard time anyway!
Tony nominee and Emmy winner Sean Hayes is currently making his return to Broadway as God himself in a limited 14-week engagement of the hit comedy An Act of God at the Booth Theatre. David Javerbaum's comedy returns to New York after launching the 2015-2016 Broadway season in a sold-out, critically acclaimed run and a second Godly successful run starring Sean Hayes in Los Angeles.
SEAN SAVES THE WORLD aired on NBC as part of the 2013-14 TV season. The series was canceled after 13 episodes had aired. According to the official description, Hayes portrayed a divorced dad who juggles a lot - his successful but demanding career, offbeat employees, his pushy mom, Lorna (Linda Lavin, "Alice") and weekends with his teenage daughter, Ellie (Samantha Isler). So when his 14-year-old bundle of joy moves in full-time, it's a whole new world. From keeping his boss happy, his employees motivated and enduring his mother's tactless "advice" to raising a smart, grounded and healthy kid, it's going to be a growing experience, to say the least. But if anyone can handle it all, it's Sean.
