Seacoast Rep Hosts Open Auditions for A Christmas Carol: A Musical Ghost Story 10/18

Seacoast Repertory Theatre (the Rep) is holding open auditions for its upcoming holiday production of A Christmas Carol: A Musical Ghost Story. After the overwhelming critical acclaim and box office success of last season's production the Rep is once again thrilled to continue a new Rep tradition by presenting A Christmas Carol, A Musical Ghost Story on the Rep stage this holiday season. This original musical version of the Dickens classic is filled with all the music and pageantry of the holiday season. Directed by the Rep's Artistic Director - Craig J. Faulkner, this production will be performed on the Rep stage December 3- 26, 2010 with rehearsals beginning in early November.

Roles we are looking to cast are:
Mrs. Crachit/Christmas Past - (Legit Soprano/ 20's to 30's) Bob's wife, poor in possessions but rich in family/The first of the three spirits, she is of the air - resplendent in stars.
Jacob Marley - (20's - 50's, non-singing) Scrooge's first and only business partner; dead as a doornail.
Martha Crachit - (Teen) Oldest of the Crachit daughters.
Peter Crachit - (Pre-Teen to Teen) A kind boy, devoted to his Brothers and Sisters
Belinda Crachit - (Pre Teen) Second of the Crachit daughters and a happy lass.
Tiny Tim Crachit - (Young, no taller than 4 Feet) Thoughtful and brave with his little crutch and his goodly heart. (Also Little Ebenezer, son of Tim Crachit)
Fan/Ensemble - (Pre-Teen to Teen) Scrooge's sister, brimful of glee.
Turkey Boys (or Girls, one Male will double as Young Scrooge, Pre-Teen to Teen) - A couple of rambunctious street urchins.

Local Guest Artist and Non-equity auditions for children and adults will be held on Monday, October 18th 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM & Tuesday, October 19th 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM. Callbacks: TBA. All those auditioning must be prepared to sing 16 to 32 bars of a ballad and up-tempo song and be prepared to hold a short conversation in a Standard British or Cockney dialect. Please bring a recent headshot and resume as well as appropriate clothes and footwear for a dance call and be prepared to read sides. Bring any schedule information you will need pertaining to the span of November 1st through December 26th as you will be required to fill out a conflict sheet.
