Casting has been confirmed for the upcoming national tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which will kick off at Seattle's Paramount Theatre on August 6th

It will star Tom Hewitt as suave Lawrence Jameson, Laura Marie Duncan as self-professed soap heiress Christine Colgate and for the first six cities of the tour, Norbert Leo Butz in his Tony Award-winning role as brash upstart Freddy Benson. Once Butz departs, he will be succeeded by Timothy Gulan (The Frogs, The Lion King). The latter's stint will begin on October 24th, at Columbus' Ohio Theatre.

The tour cast will also include multi-Jefferson Award-winner Hollis Resnik (A Little Night Music at Ravinia, Thoroughly Modern Millie tour) as vacationing divorcee Muriel Eubanks, Drew McVety (Spamalot, Frozen) as charming gendarme Andre, and Jenifer Foote (swing in Broadway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Dracula) as rich Oklahoma belle Jolene. Todd Anderson, Tim Crasky, Beth Curry, Christopher DeAngelis, Ashley Blair, Christopher Freeman, Rod Harrelson, Danny Herman, Ken Krugman, Juliana Laufer, Emily Loftiss, Natalie Nucci, Martin Samuel, Kim Shriver, Sarrah Strimel, Francis Toumbakaris, and Nicole Van Giesen will comprise the ensemble.

Hewitt, who received a Tony Award nomination for his work in the revival of The Rocky Horror Show, has also been seen on Broadway in Dracula, The Boys from Syracuse, Art, The Lion King, The Sisters Rosensweig and The School for Scandal. He also starred in the first national tour of Doctor Dolittle.

Duncan has served as the understudy for Christine and Muriel in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and is also in the ensemble of the show. She has also been seen on Broadway in The Full Monty, and Off-Broadway in House and Garden, Cupid and Psyche and more.

Butz won a Tony Award for his performance in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and was also nominated for his work in Thou Shalt Not. Other Broadway credits include Wicked and Rent, while he has also starred in the national tour of Cabaret and Off-Broadway in The Last Five Years.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which follows the hijinx of two crooks on the French Riviera, won the 2005 Drama League Award as Best Musical, and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards. The show features a book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbek (The Full Monty). The production is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell. The musical is based on the 1988 MGM film.

The Broadway cast currently features Jonathan Pryce as Lawrence, Butz as Freddy, Rachel York as Christine, Lucie Arnaz as Muriel, Gregory Jbara as Andre and Mylinda Hull as Jolene. On July 20th, Keith Carradine and Brian D'Arcy James succeed Pryce and Butz, and Richard Kind joins the cast as Andre on August 3rd.
