Scott Katzman's Act Naturally Runs Feb. 8-24

Act Naturally, a new comedy written by and starring Scott Katzman, begins previews February 8th, opens February 10th and continues through February 24 at the WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street.  The play is presented by Intangible Productions.

Directed by Christopher Maring, the "'38-character, 7-actor, one-man show run amuck' features Mr. Katzman as an actor desperate to earn his Equity card.  He is unexpectedly thrust on stage in a new play he has neither seen nor read.  As this actor's nightmare unravels in front of the audience, we watch him unwittingly use his own life as art, summoning a host of characters whose intersecting lives are forever changed," state press notes.

Scott Katzman is an actor and writer whose stage credits include Same Time, Next Year, Hurlyburly, A Social Event, The Shadow Box and The Rainmaker. George His film and TV credits include "Sex and the City," "Saturday Night Live," and "All My Children, among others.  He has also written The Hypocrates (a play) and "Almost Home" (a sitcom pilot).

In addition to Katzman, the cast includes Audrey Amey, Darron Cardosa, Tracee Chimo, Skid Maher, Marlene O'Haire and Gwenyth Reitz.

Set design is by David Behring with costumes by Paulette Keck, lighting by Melanie Smock, sound by Nicholas Viselli.  Janice DeKoff is Production Stage Manager; Molly Marinik is Production Manager and Dan Watkins is the Production Supervisor.

The show previews at the WorkShop Theater on February 8th with the official opening on February 10th.  The limited Equity engagement continues through February 24th.  The performance schedule is Monday, Wednesday through Saturday at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.  All seats at $18 are available through SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or www.smarttix.com.  The WorkShop Theater is located at 312 West 36th Street (west of 8th Avenue), 4th Floor.
