The Chocolate Factory theater in Queens will be presenting the world premiere of 2 Husbands by Ken Urban, directed by TCF Artistic Director Brian Rodgers.  Located at at 5-49 49th Avenue, LIC (first stop on the 7 into Queens), performances are scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 5th and end April 28th. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 PM, with added Sunday and Monday performances on April 8th and 9th.

"2 Husbands", state press notes, "is a heavy-duty multi-media production that follows two narratives: First, we see the husband's perspective on the vegetable state of his former wife, his wish to terminate her life-support, and the media and political circus surrounding it (based on the Terri Schiavo case).  The second is a husband who recently lost his wife in a tragedy.  He hires a "messenger" from the After Life Telegram Service – a real organization that connects people who are about to die with people who recently lost someone so that they can memorize a message and deliver it to them in Heaven.  As soon as he does, however, his dead wife starts making ghostly appearances.  It is only when these two husbands' lives intersect are they finally able to find some solace."

The cast includes: Sheila Lewandowski (Gun Play, Audit at The Chocolate Factory and  Becoming Something: Canada Lee at The Kraine), Alanna Medlock (Loneliness of Noam Chomsky, numerous International WOW shows), Yoko Myoi (Dan Hurlin's Hiroshima Maiden), Victor Villar-Hauser, Margot White (Horton Foote's The Travelling Lady at EST, Pericles at The Culture Project), Travis Yorke (The Internationalist at 13P)

The Artistic team includes: Direction and Video Design by Brian Rogers(co-founder and Artistic Director of TCF, directed Fundamental, Here Arts Center, Audit and Gun Play), Lighting by Chloe Z. Brown (she won a Bessie last year), Sets by Brad Kisicki (No Where at PS122), Costumes: by Maggie Dick.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling theatermania @ (212) 352-3101 or by visiting www.chocolatefactorytheater.org. Thursdays are free for Queens residents.
