Scandinavia House Hosts 'Luminous Modernism' Exhibition, Opening 10/25

This holiday season, step back in time and experience Nordic art from the turn of the twentieth century at Scandinavia House in New York City.

Luminous Modernism: Scandinavian Art Comes to America, 1912, an exhibition of some 50 paintings by leading Nordic artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries-including Edvard Munch, Vilhelm Hammershøi, and Anders Zorn-is on view October 25, 2011, through February 11, 2012.

Special holiday programming at Scandinavia House includes a concert of traditional Scandinavian Christmas music, children's storytelling and sing-along events, the delicious Holiday Smörgåsbord at the restaurant Smörgås Chef, and unique Scandinavian treasures, including home décor items, jewelry, and clothing, at The Holiday Shop.
