Saycon Sengbloh Sings 'Sweet Soul' at Harlem Tea Room

Saycon Sengbloh (Wicked) will perform Feb.19 at the Harlem Tea Room's "Sweet Soul" concert.

Sengbloh is the current standby for the role of Elphaba in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked at the Gerswhin Theatre. Sengbloh portrayed Mimi in the National and Tokyo tours of Rent, and was standby for the title role in Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida. She also originated the role of Nettie in the Atlanta premiere of the Broadway musical The Color Purple. Her debut R&B album, "Southern Pin-Up," was independently released in 2004.

Tickets for "Sweet Soul" are $7 cover plus a $10 minimum purchase. Doors open 7:30pm for 8:00pm show.
