While a bride's style and beauty is paramount, most waste time and money on skin care myths and over the counter remedies that leave lackluster results.

Dr. Bruce E. Katz, director of the JUVA Skin & Laser Center in NYC, sheds light on an arsenal of techniques that effectively bring out a bride's best and most radiant self.

At JUVA Dr. Katz works with patients six months before the wedding. He outlines a plan of action for both the bride and mother of bride to address their overall skin and body image concerns.

Here is Dr. Katz's recommended Skin Care Timetable for the Bride-To-Be and M.O.B.:

Six Months Tightening

Bride: Can't get rid of stubborn fat on the abdomen? Liposonix ultrasound treatments work to permanently destroy targeted fat cells without surgery. This non-invasive fat reduction technology takes one hour and patients have shed one pant size from one treatment.

M.O.B.: A telltale sign of a woman's age is her neck. The new ClearLift treatment works to gently and painlessly improve fine lines and skin laxity. Its unique q-switched laser module is designed for delicate areas of the skin like the neck. 2 4 treatments are recommended every 2 weeks.

Four Months Youthfulness & Clarity

Bride: Intense pulsed light and fractionated skin resurfacing treatments are the most popular to dramatically improve brown spots while reducing redness and blotchiness. A series of treatments is required every 4 weeks. JUVA's Medispa offers microdermabrasion and light peel series to improve skin clarity and pore size.

M.O.B.: "The Madonna Lift" fractional eyelift procedure uses fractional CO2 laser resurfacing technology to dramatically reduce the appearance of dark circles and eye wrinkles, tightens upper and lower eyelid skin, and helps to elevate drooping eyebrows.3 - 5 sessions are recommended, delivered at 2 week intervals.

Two Months Maintenance

Bride: Get into a regular at-home maintenance plan for your skin.Start by properly cleansing and exfoliating with a Clarisonic sonic cleansing brush. Use an anti-oxidant serum in the morning, an anti-aging cream at night and, of course, SPF 30 daily.

M.O.B: Its time for some last minute touches to erase years from mom's face while still keeping her looking natural.Fillers like Radiesse, Juvederm and Sculptra are used to fill in gaunt cheeks, hallow under eyes and fine lines.
