Attacking the serious subject of age discrimintion towards women, the satirical magazine Reductress reports that 17-year-old Annabelle Hough has been told by her high school drama coach that she was too old for the school's production of LITTLE WOMEN.

"The role of Mrs. March ultimately went to Parkway Elementary sixth-grader, 11-year-old Riley Schultz. Her husband in the play, Mr. March, will be played by 55-year-old substitute gym teacher, Bob Younce."

Sheela Shrinivas reports, "The decision has forced Annabelle to re-think her upcoming Juilliard audition. 'Sure, it'll be cool when I'm once again the new and hot freshman, but three years later, I'll be just another 22-year-old has-been.'

The first and only satirical women's magazine, Reductress was founded in 2013 by Beth Newell and Sarah Pappalardo. The mission of Reductress is to take on the outdated perspectives and condescending tone of popular women's media, through the eyes of the funniest women in comedy today. Also, we want people to think we're pretty.
