On Thursday, April 25 at 9pm, International Billboard Artist and classically-trained chanteuse Sasha Lazard will guest star at NYC's sexiest party Speakeasy Moderne. Sasha is currently working her fifth CD and will be debuting a sneak preview of her new single "Lumiere" along with her hit single "Ode to Innocence."
At Speakeasy Moderne, get swept up in a world where singers enchant, flappers flirt and dancers dazzle... Playing STAGE 72 each month and hosted by "Official Hank" Stampfl, it's an unforgettable evening featuring an intoxicating blend of Jazz Age Manhattan, vaudeville, cabaret and a touch of burlesque.
With songs from the Tin Pan Alley era to the Golden Age of Broadway to today's pop charts and performances from special guest singers, dancers and burlesque stars, the show puts a modern twist on the illicit speakeasy, where high brow and low brow entertainers and audiences mingle, indulging in drink, song and dance. Additional upcoming show dates are May 30 at 9pm and June 20 at 9pm; evening and cocktail wear is encouraged and audience members are asked to dress in their favorite era from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond.
Sasha Lazard is no stranger to the stage and has sung for people and in places as diverse as her repertoire; from Carnegie Hall to Privilege, the world's biggest nightclub in Ibiza, Spain; from entertaining the USO troops on their way to Iraq, to singing for Bulgari's top patrons in Catherine The Great's palace in St. Petersburg, to performing the National Anthem at Shea Stadium for the New York Mets. Sasha's music can be heard in the box office hits: Princess Mononoke, a haunting rendition of Ave Maria in Kate Winslet's film Holy Smoke, and in Andy Garcia's Modigliani among many others. Her song "Angeli" was featured in Victoria Secret's "Angel" Campaign.
