One night only! The critically acclaimed, award-winning, one-woman play FROM A YARDIE TO A YANKEE, written and performed by Sardia Robinson, will be featured in the 2015 United Solo Theatre Festival on Wednesday, October 21, at 9:00pm, on Theatre Row: 410 West 42nd Street, New York City.

Following two SOLD OUT performances in LA, rave reviews and feedback were gushing from industry pros like the creative team from Emmy Award-winning actress Viola Davis's production company JuVee Productions, writer/director/producer Gregory Marquette, and an HBO producer! Don't miss what these folks are calling "a must see!"

FROM A YARDIE TO A YANKEE is Sardia's own, personal story: Born into a poverty stricken Jamaican neighborhood where crime, gangs and political revolution were the norm, Sardia had to step over corpses in the street on her way to school. Then, an unplanned pregnancy added yet more hurdles.

Sardia's engaging and unique storytelling style takes audience members on an emotional rollercoaster ride fraught with peril, pain, suffering, but also filled with humor, endearing characters, and the undeterred human spirit to survive.

The United Solo Theatre Festival, the world's largest solo theatre festival, had earlier announced that the one-woman show FROM A YARDIE TO A YANKEE will be featured in this year's Festival. The United Solo Festival is presenting its sixth season at Theatre Row in the heart of New York City's Theatre District. Performers from six continents will present their unique works between September 17 and November 22, 2015.
