Sarah Jessica Parker unveiled her long awaited shoe collection last week to exclusive retail partner Nordstrom. She only just announced she was launching her own line with business partner partner George Malkemus, longtime CEO at Manolo Blahnik, in June. But fans of Sex and the City have been waiting for what seems like a logical step for the star for years.
At last week's presentation at the St. Regis hotel, the actress exlplained, "Trust in the simple." SJP told editors as they got a peak at her collection for the first time, "I was so happy to support the single-sole shoe again."
WWD reported that Nordstrom couldn't have been happier, as the well-thought-out line had plenty to offer. "I think color can be a neutral," said Parker, whose collection consisted of custom colors with names like asparagus, cherry, dove gray and her version of navy, which is more of a French navy. "People always have to ask their friends and husbands, 'Is this navy or black?' I want it to be clear."Videos
