Sara Andreas, Christopher Rice and More Appear on THE ENSEMBLIST 'Swings' Episode

Mo Brady (The Addams Family, SMASH) and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) announce the release of The Ensemblist's third episode: "Swings."

The Ensemblist is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer- from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you're an experienced theatre professional or just a passionate fan, The Ensemblist gives listeners the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of Broadway.

The "Swings" episode of The Ensemblist features interviews with some of Broadway's unsung heroes: the swings. We speak to actors about it takes to be a swing, and look at some of the unique requirements of the job.The episode's guests include Sara Andreas (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde on tour), Christopher Rice (The Book of Mormon, West Side Story tour) Samantha Shafer (South Pacific, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) and Clay Thomson (Newsies, Matilda the Musical).

In the 25-minute podcast, our expert guests speak candidly about how they keep track of all of the roles they cover, their favorite things about swinging and their favorite tracks to perforM. Rice shares a particularly funny story about forgetting which track he was performing - in the middle of a production number. The episode ends with a frightening, but heartfelt story by Andreas about her first time going on in Legally Blonde.
