Sinbad comes to The Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara on August 18, 2012, at 8 p.m.

Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the "Top 100 Standup Comedians of all Time," Sinbad has built a loyal following by taking the trials and tribulations of an audience's day-to-day life, tossing them back with his own unique take and insight, and causing an uproar of comedic hysteria in the process.

Sinbad is also well-known for being able to make his comic insights sound profound without being profane deciding - after his father attended one of his early stand up performances - to keep his comedy clean. Sinbad is internationally known for his starring appearances in hit movies Jingle All the Way, Houseguest, and Necessary Roughness.

On television he has starred in the sitcom A Different Worldas well as his own series, The Sinbad Show, hosted Showtime at the Apollo for two years and filmed several HBO specials including, Sinbad: Brain Damaged; Sinbad - Afros and Bellbottoms; Sinbad - Son of a Preacher Man; Sinbad - Nothin' but the Funk and Sinbad's 70's Soul Music Festival, which received the prestigious NAACP Image Award for "Most Outstanding Variety Series/Special" for two consecutive years. Most recently, Sinbad was seen in the third season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.

Tickets start at $30 and are available at the Granada Theatre's ticketing office at 805.899.2222 or online at www.granadasb.org.
