Sandy Duncan, star of stage and screen, plays Amanda Wingfield in the upcoming Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV (NCT) production of Tennessee Williams'

NCT's artistic director Robert Brewer directs. Music is composed by Michael Valenti and internationally acclaimed scenic designer John Iacovelli has designed a transparent-like set for this American classic. Costumes are by Zhenni Li with lighting by Vance McKenzie.
Stephen Crandall both narrates and plays Tom Wingfield. Melanie Ash plays his sister Laura and Brandon Burk is the Gentleman Caller.
Duncan made her Broadway debut in 1965 in a revival of
The Music Man. She has been nominated for a Tony Award three times; 1969 for Best Supporting or Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in
Canterbury Tales; Best Actress in a Musical in 1972 for the revival of
The Boy Friend; and
Peter Pan in 1980. Other Broadway credits include
My One and Only and
Chicago. Her performance as Missy Anne Reynolds in the groundbreaking ABC miniseries "Roots" in 1977 earned her an Emmy Award nomination.
Performances are February 9, 10, 15, 16, 17 at 8 p.m. with matinees at 2 p.m. on February 11, 17 and 18. Tickets are $25 general admission; $20 for seniors, students, military and handicapped; and on sale at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office.
