The Hollywood Reporter writes that GREY'S ANATOMY star Sandra Oh, known for her long-time portrayal of 'Cristina Yang' since the series debuted 2005 on ABC, will not be returning after season 10.
"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," Oh told THR. "It's such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well."

Oh reportedly broke the news to her co-stars over the 200th episode table read on August 13. Oh told THR that creator Shonda Rhimes has been supportive throughout the entire decision process.
"Over the past 10 seasons, I have been made better by Sandra's trust, faith and friendship, and I can't quantify how grateful I am for her collaboration on a character we both love so deeply," Rhimes said.
No word yet on how 'Cristina' will depart the show, but THR also writes that Oh's next step could be a return to theater. She appeared onstage in The Vagina Monologues off-Broadway in 1999.
At this time, no other cast members have made a move toward exiting the series, and ABC said in a recent statement that GREY'S ANATOMY would be "on the air for many years to come, with as many of the original cast as possible."Oh has received five Emmy nominations for her portrayal of 'Cristina' and has been nominated four times for the Image Awards, twice for the People's Choice Award, and won the Golden Globe for supporting actress in 2006. That same year, she also won the SAG Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Oh's other TV credits include American Dad!, American Dragon: Jake Long, The Proud Family, Arli$$, Judging Amy and more. She will next appear on the big screen in 33 Liberty Lane.
