As previously announced, Simon Green will take on the role of Captain Terri Dennis, hot off the back of his 2017 Drama Desk Award triumph for Outstanding Revue. The win recognised his one man show CONVERSATIONS WITH COWARD, which following its New York Run, also plays Brasserie Zedel In London, later this month. Other credits include Bernadette in PRISCILLA; QUEEN OF THE DESSERT, Monsieur Andre in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and Bruce Ismay in TITANIC; THE MUSICAL at both Southwark Playhouse and at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Toronto.
Samuel Curry will play the part of Steven Flowers. Previous credits include Jamie in THE D LIST (Underbelly, Edinburgh Festival Fringe); Brutus in JULIUS CAESAR (Network Theatre) and Hamnet in CESARIO (National Theatre).
Joining the previously announced duo is Robin McDonald as Major Giles Flack. Throughout the years, Robin has worked in numerous repertory companies, including Ipswich, Nottingham and the famed Glasgow Citizens company. Following a period at the National Theatre where credits included AMADEUS, RICHARD III, WILD DUCK and ART AND EROS, Robin worked successfully in both the West End and Television. Recently he starred as Salieri in Amadeus at Portsmouth New Theatre Royal.
Matt Beveridge also joins the company as Reg Drummond. Perhaps most familiar for fronting up the VODAPHONE campaign, Matt's previous onstage credits include Barrett in TITANIC (Prince of Wales Theatre; Toronto), Manoah/Jack Mason in THE FRONTIER TRILOGY (Rabenhoff Theatre; Austria) and Edward Moncrief in ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER (Union Theatre).
Tom Bowen will play Kevin Cartwright. Previous credits include DIRTY DANCING (UK Tour), MAMMA MIA (West End) and Wildon in the new feature film MOTHER KRAMPUS.
And Tom Pearce plays Charles Bishop. Previous credits include LES MISERABLES, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and Jerry Springer THE OPERA.
Completing the company is Martha Pothen as Sylvia Morgan, Paul Sloss as Len Bonny, Matt Hayden as ERic Young- Love and Mikey Anthony- Howe as Lee.
The production will be directed by Kirk Jameson, who returns to the Union Theatre having recently directed their Summer production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. Previous credits include the German Premiere of THE LAST FIVE YEARS in Frankfurt, the English Premiere of THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK (Waterloo East Theatre) and the 20th Anniversary Production of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE (the Arts Theatre), which starred Simon Lipkin, Julie Atherton, Gina Beck and Samuel Holmes. It was also announced last week that Kirk will direct the 2018 tour of MADAGASCAR, which opens in Wimbledon next June.
PRIVATES ON PARADE will be designed by Mike Lees, with musical supervision by Nick Barstow.
