On May 6, Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College will present an evening with salsa superstar, Victor Manuelle. Victor Manuelle, also known as El Sonero de la Juventud, brings his unique style of salsa romantica to Queens as part of his "Sal a Bailar Tour."

The Puerto Rican salsa singer, songwriter and improviser will delight those who will be celebrating Mother's Day, couples looking for a romantic night out, and anyone who enjoys tropical music.

Que Suenen Los Tambores, Victor Manuelle's most recent album, has garnered Victor much attention, making him the only tropical artist to spend three consecutive weeks at #1 this year. Que Suenen Los Tambores is simultaneously contemporary and classic, incorporating international musical touches while relying on his greatest strength: his power as a sonero (improvising singer) in the traditional Puerto Rican style.

The show on May 6 will be the first of a planned series of Latin shows to be presented in 2016 and 2017. Kupferberg Center is a centrally located venue offering a wide variety of cultural experiences featuring world-class international, national, local, and emerging artists. More recently the Center has begun to offer audience members the option of having dinner in the College's President's Lounge. Information about prices and menu options can be found on our website. There is free parking for this and all other shows at Kupferberg Center for the Arts.
