Following the success of Breaking The Ice: Moscow Art 1960-80s, the first major UK exhibition of leading Russian post-war art at the Saatchi Gallery from November 2012 - March 2013, a new partnership was announced today between the Tsukanov Family Foundation and the Saatchi Gallery that will provide a unique platform for emerging and more established art from the former Soviet Union and its surrounding regions over the next five years.

The Tsukanov Family Foundation is a London based charity supporting art, music and educational programs in Russia and the UK. Among many other cultural initiatives, TFF supports artistic projects with an emphasis on promoting Russian and eastern European post-war art.

The Saatchi Gallery's role is to bring contemporary art to as wide an audience as possible and this new partnership with the Tsukanov Family Foundation will enable a program of curated shows from the post-Soviet states to be brought to a new audience in the UK. The exhibitions are set to play a key role in shaping our understanding of the art and wider culture of the region.

"The Saatchi Gallery is a unique venue well known globally for their endless efforts to promote art across borders. Our first show, Breaking The Ice: Moscow Art 1960-80s, was held in London this year and revealed a strong public interest in post-war and contemporary art originating in the FSU region. We look forward to using the Gallery's vast experience to further expand upon this through a series of shows over the course of the next 5 years."

Igor Tsukanov, Co-Founder TFF

"We are thrilled to be working with the Tsukanov Family Foundation on a long-term basis. This collaborative partnership provides a wonderful opportunity to bring art from a culturally rich, but relatively unknown, part of the world to a new audience".

Nigel Hurst, CEO Saatchi Gallery
