Saatchi Art (saatchiart.com) today announced it will present an exhibition of the best of America's art graduates, with new works by 10 artists curated by Saatchi Art's Chief Curator, Rebecca Wilson.

This exhibition, which will take place in New York, highlights the work of exceptional emerging artists from all over the world who are part of Saatchi Art.

Entitled "Surface Tension," the exhibition will present new works by some of the most promising emerging artists from the top art schools in the United States. Highlights include Ioana Manolache's (Columbia) paintings that investigate the possibilities of materiality and illusion; a series of portraits by Alex Jackson (University of Wisconsin-Madison) exploring issues of race and social inclusion; the 'reliefs' of Erin Morrison (UCLA) which exist somewhere between painting and sculpture; and Sarah Faux's (Yale) moments of heightened sensation in paintings of the human body.

"We are really excited to be presenting the work of such talented artists, many of whom are showing their work in New York for the first time. After researching all the thesis shows in the US, I feel very excited to be sharing the outstanding work of these artists," said Rebecca Wilson.

This exhibition is part of Saatchi Art's ongoing 'Invest in Art' series, which features outstanding emerging artists from around the world whose works suggest great promise and investment potential.

All works in the exhibition in New York will be for sale. There will also be an online exhibition with additional works by each artist, which can be viewed and purchased at www.saatchiart.com/show/surfacetension.

During the exhibition Rebecca Wilson will be available to give collectors free one-on-one art advisory sessions on purchasing works by emerging artists. Please email Nicole Garton at Nicole@saatchiart.com to schedule a 20-minute session.

The exhibition will be open to the public from October 7th to 11th, with an opening reception from 6-9pm on Thursday, October 8th and a late opening through 8pm on Saturday, October 10th.

Opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm
