5th Floor Theatre Company, a nonprofit organization supporting non-union theatre artists in New York City, announced today that SubUrbia by Eric Bogosian will open Thursday, November 2 for a limited weekend run at Manhattan's Hudson Guild Theatre.

SubUrbia chronicles the aimless activities of 20-somethings living in their New Jersey hometown whose illusions are stripped away with the return of a successful high school classmate. The cast includes Will Cary, Jessica Giannone, Bonnie Jackson, Sarah Kaidanow, Helen Laser, Hassan Nazari-Robati, Jeffrey Robb, Dave Stishan and Clay Westman.

Said director Alex McKann: "We are so excited to be bringing SubUrbia back to a New York City stage. It first premiered in 1994, a year filled with pivotal moments in the political and cultural shifts that define 90's nostalgia. Revisiting these familiar faces in Everytown, USA seems only fitting in 2017 -- a time of change and uncertainty in our own right -- to reflect on how far we've come and how very far we still have to go."

Tickets are available here. The limited engagement will run for five performances at the Hudson Guild Theatre in Chelsea:

  • Thursday, November 2 at 8 PM
  • Friday, November 3 at 8 PM
  • Saturday, November 4 at 1 PM
  • Saturday, November 4 at 8 PM
  • Sunday, November 5 at 1 PM

McKhann's production team features Assistant Director Matt McAlister, Casting Director Nikki Grillos, Set Designer Brian Pacelli, Costume Designer Rachel Aberman, Lighting Designer Andrew Gravis, Sound Designer Christine Farrell, and Stage Manager Michelle Aguda. SubUrbia is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. It was originally produced by Lincoln Center Theater.
