SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Kate Wetherhead to Teach Musical Theater Audition Workshop, 3/22

Co-creator and star of "Submissions Only" Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Ordinary Days) will be teaching a 4-session workshop "Auditioning for Musicals" at The Freeman Studio (www.thefreemanstudio.com) beginning March 22. Special guest speakers will include Tony-Award winning producer Kevin McCollum (Something Rotten, Hand to God, In the Heights, Avenue Q, Rent), Tony-nominated director Leigh Silverman (Violet, Chinglish, Well, The Way We Get By ) and Richard Rodgers Award-winning composer/lyricist Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days, Bernice Bobs Her Hair, The Boy Detective Fails.)

In Kate's class, students will be given the tools to make auditioning for musical theater less stressful and more within their control. With an emphasis on making strong choices, selecting (and understanding) appropriate material, plus staying relaxed and focused, this class will build students' confidence to deliver a satisfying and grounded performance in "the room."

The Freeman Studio was founded in 2007 in New York City to provide a place for working professionals to continue their artistic growth, and for promising actors to develop their talents.

The studio allows actors to concentrate on process while developing methods for practical application and acceleration of their technique for the workplace.?
