Well-Strung, the pop/classical fusion group, released their third music video today titled "Royals (Feat. Palladio)" in anticipation of their new albumPOPssical due out on October 2. Check it out below!
This number is a composition of the group singing Lorde's smash hit "Royals" while playing Karl Jenkins' "Palladio" from the aptly titled album Diamond Music.
Well-Strung, featuring Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola), is a string quartet with a modern twist playing universally recognized classical pieces while singing pop music hits from the likes of Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, and other pop stars for a wildly engaging and unique experience. Conceived by Mark Cortale and Christopher Marchant, the foursome has quickly gained international attention. They have performed at the NYC TrevorLIVE Gala as well as appearances and performances on The Today Show and Watch What Happens Live. They have also performed with artists like Kristin Chenoweth, Deborah Voigt, Norm Lewis, and Sierra Boggess and last month were invited to perform alongside Neil Patrick Harris at his recent Provincetown concert.
POPssical is scheduled for release October 2 on Music With A Twist, the independent label from Logo founder Matt Farber. The recording of Well-Strung's new album POPssical is the culmination of their year-long national tour of the show by the same name. The foursome note that hearing their fans' equally passionate response to their live show version of POPssical inspired them to record the unique show as an album.
