Today the cast of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed Broadway production of Spring Awakening, along with writers Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik and director Michael Arden, travel to Washington, D.C. to perform at the White House as part of aconvening on Americans with disabilities and the arts, a celebration of diversity and inclusion.

In recognition of this honor, coinciding with the 25th anniversary year of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 25 tickets per performance, priced at $25 each, are now on sale for select performances of Spring Awakening from November 19-25. The limited supply of Tickets can be purchased using the code ADA25 at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 877-250-2929, and in person at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre box office.

"The White House Convening on Americans with Disabilities and the Arts: A Celebration of Diversity and Inclusion" will be live-streamed below, Wednesday, November 18 from 4:00-7:00PM EST.

Spring Awakening's full cast, including Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Camryn Manheim and Academy and Golden Globe Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Marlee Matlin, will perform several songs from the show in the White House South Court Auditorium and lead a workshop. Attendees will include 100 local students from the DC area.

This event, part of the 25th anniversary year of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the 40th anniversary year of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), will highlight opportunities and innovative practices for Americans with disabilities to be employed in and participate in the arts. Other participants include Cecilia Muñoz, Assistant to the President and Director of the Domestic Policy Council, and Greg Renier, Director of Theater, National Endowment for the Arts.
