Tony winner Frances Ruffelle has just posted footage of her solo show, Beneath the Dress, at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Check out highlights below!
Audiences worldwide know and love Frances' voice from the original recordings of LES MISERABLES and Beneath the Dress gives fans a great opportunity to meet the real vibrancy and humor of Ruffelle. As well as recording four solo albums, Frances has worked extensively in the West End. She received raves for her leading roles in Chicago, Starlight Express, Pippin, Children of Eden, and most recently as Piaf in Piaf.
Frances has made hundreds of critically acclaimed cabaret appearances throughout Europe and the US. Her many television and film credits include a fun cameo in the movie version of LES MISERABLES and leading roles in the In Lost Forgotten Fields & Devil's Tower pictures.
Born in London, Frances is part of a show business family. Her mother is Sylvia Young, the founder of a prestigious London theatre school where Frances trained. Her daughter is singer Eliza Doolittle.
