STAGE TUBE: Tina Fey and Tituss Burgess Sing Surprise CITY OF ANGELS Duet at MISCAST

Just last night, MCC Theater's Miscast gala, an annual highlight of the New York Theater season, honored Oscar winning star of stage and screen and MCC alum Marisa Tomei. In a surprise move, Tina Fey rose up from her seat in the audience at the Hammerstein Ballroom and joined Tituss Burgess onstage for a performance of the song "You're Nothing Without Me" from CITY OF ANGELS. The gala also featured show-stopping performances by Emmy Award nominee Tituss Burgess; Tony Award winners Lea Salonga and Linda Lavin; Tony Award nominee Keala Settle; and stage and screen stars Aaron Tveit, Beth Behrs, Cynthia Erivo, Ana Villafañe, and Shanice Williams.

MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala is one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town, for which Broadway's hottest stars perform songs by characters as whom they would never be cast. Proceeds from Miscast 2016 will, as always, support MCC Theater's mission to develop and produce exciting work Off-Broadway, as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and MCC's literary development work with emerging playwrights.
