WIPEOUT returns to ABC on THURSDAY, JUNE 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) with an episode titled "Hotties versus Nerds 2.0". The summer premiere will showcase 12 all-brains, no brawn nerds battling it out against 12 smokin' hot hotties in a classic battle of the sexes. Get a sneak peek below!
As our 24 contestants take on an all-new outrageous obstacle course, the beauties receive a bevy of head shots without a photographer present and the nerds face massive amounts of rejection - head-on - courtesy of brand new, bigger and better obstacles. The fan favorite Big Balls also make a triumphant return with contestants being able to score an extra cash prize if they can knock off a nerdy Smallsy perched atop the fourth ball. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter,"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Vanessa Lachey (ABC's "True Beauty").
The final three contestants who make it to the end will face their biggest challenge yet when they race to the finish for the fastest time in the brand new Wipeout Zone which has been completely redesigned resulting in some of the biggest Wipeouts to date.
Each week, 24 energetic new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious, while everyone else will Wipeout!
"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" "Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Shye Sutherland, Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA. David Goldberg is the chairman of Endemol North America.
